      @BobK. - Don't remember anymore, why some of these runtz, like "Sunken Gar Den", got put on the shelf.

      I seem to real vaguely remember that the notebook of runt-staging-area puzs got too day-um heavy to lift, so I just lifted a hunk of em out of there, splatzed em on a closet bookshelf, and forgot about em until now.

      I don't think it was an entirely random "lift out" event, but not totally sure anymore. I do remember that, at the time, I saved a Desperate Word Square (™) from out of the discards, tho.

    1. Well, yep, @r.alph … Really. I thought this could be a real funny theme idea. Tried to allow a couple extra minutes of solvetime, tho -- since it was a bit, shall we say, unusual.

    2. @Teedmn: Yer comment's "otherwise" assumption of what the themers are up to was correct. It weren't over yer sweet head. Altho there was a kind of sequence-of-events angle, suggested in there.

    3. This theme mcguffin had a lotta primo possibilities, and may therefore have to have a sequel someday. Of course, won't need to allow the extra nanoseconds, on the redux…

    @r.alph: yep. That title woulda made findin the "Drained It" theme a bit less challengin. M&A had agonized a bit over the title, and whether to install the circled drains. Went with the drains, instead of a real helpful title. Other titles considered:
    * Water Water Everywhere.
    * Drain-O.
    * Downhill Run.
    * Nowhere Else To Run.
    * H To O.

    Some background: Yesterday (4/5/19) when I turned on my computer, it began, without asking me, to update to Mojave 10.14.4. The process took an hour or so; I don't really know how long, since I just let it run and did other things. Everything else I did once I regained control seemed to run fine. But in the afternoon, just before I had to go out for an appointment, I thought I had enough time to do a runt. Even that worked fine, until I wanted to post my comment, and I couldn't. I floundered around a bit as I do in such situations, trying this and that. Finally I shifted from Safari to Google Chrome, and though I don't know why, I was able to get out my SOS. But I really didn't have time to do anything else. And then this morning, I wanted to print out my archive copy of the weekly DAB puzzle (highly recommended - davidalfredbywaters.com). I got as far as having the pdf on screen, but when I hit Control P, I got that dull thunk which is the iMac's way of saying "I heard your command, but I'm not going to do anything about it." And again, when I moved to Chrome, it worked OK. So I am going to struggle today to figure out how to get Safari working. I know, TMI, sorry.

    What the hey!?! This time I remembered to go to "Options" and enter my name, but I still came up as Anonymous!

    I have never been able to fix the foul-ups caused by that update last week. I am using Google Chrome, but that hasn't solved everything. I would enter a complaint somewhere, but computers and I speak different languages.

    @Bob You need to use the options that is next to "enter rebus string." This is a bug in my program.
