What's up version 2.0

  1. The top secret constructor site is for M&W and Loren to use. Let me know if there are other collaborations and I will add other posts for them.

    1. Wow. Thanx, @r.alph. Think about it... It'll sorta be like reality TV. Something hardly ever observed: a weird painfully shy dude (M&A) and a published, out-going constructor (muse) trying to do a small crossword construction, with a record of every sordid step in the messy process left behind, for all to see. (Probably best viewed by solvers, after solving the constructed puz, of course.) Epic. You may even be able to sell commercials to those dudes at drug companies that have all those impressive lists of side effects...

You are really nice to do all this, and I sure hope it's not a big hassle for U to do. Or have too many side effects.

  5. Collaboratin with @muse is fun, and we should be crankin out a particularly tricky little puz, soon. Lot of name-callin goin on, also... which may yield a second puz, eventually.

Meanwhile, here is a challenging one that hopefully will pass yer personal breakfast test...

    1. For breakfast today, I had blueberry cake instead of 10A and thus failed the 5D (needed 2 reveals). Very cute puzzle.

  6. Hey All!
Mr. @r.alph just put up my latest runt, however, it didn't get through as I wanted it. It's supposed to have circles in the squares of the four corners, and circles in the squares all around the center block. Also, since it's a Rebu-Runt, the four corner squares are rebus squares. Which is why if you did it, 1D, 6D, 12D, and 14D made no sense.Think "Directions-Rebus" and maybe you will figure it out. Or print out a blank runt grid, and add the blocks and circles yourself! Sounds like a lot of trouble, I know! Hey, I guess it's a continuation of M&A's Experiment runts!!

    1. Solved it. Took many many nanoseconds. Very nice uses of the double-??. Not sure I've grasped 6-D and 8-D yet; cool with everything else.
At first, wasn't sure how many circles (4 or 8) to draw around that center post. 4, right?

  7. Spoiler Alert! 6D, Elvis, 8D, abbr. for SouthWest airlines. (Where it came from is a mystery.) Yes, M&A, four circles, did you see the compass points? Also, four corners.
